Welcome home, Inline Hockey World Champions

The success of the Namibian youth inline hockey teams at the World Skate Games 2022, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November, has been the talk of the town.

After exciting and at times nerve-wracking games for the junior boys, they finished an impressive 4th place in an illustrious field of competitors.
The junior girls did not lose a single match in Argentina and showed with great bravura where hard work, team cohesion and ambition can lead: They won the gold medal in Argentina.

The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) welcomed their learners, who are part of the Namibian national inline hockey team, back to school on Monday, 14 November 2022. The successful participation and the excellent sporting results were once again duly acknowledged during a festive welcome ceremony with the school community and parents, during which the school administration, LRC and sports department addressed incredibly proud, motivating and beautiful words to the young athletes.

Congratulations to the two Namibian inline hockey teams, especially to our DHPS learners Dominik Braun, Julian Dedig, Mickah Januarie and Henning Schulze and the inline hockey world champions Maike Dedig, Lea Reiff, Jada Tati and Michelle Wirtz. We are immensely proud of you.
