"I shape
the world the way I like it." (Astrid Lindgren)
On 7 August 2024, our annual internal DHPS reading competition for grades
3 to 6 was held. This year's primary-section book week focused on "The Colorful World of Astrid Lindgren."
Grade 3 and
4 learners read from the beloved classic "The Children of Bullerbü."
With great expression and enthusiasm, they carried the audience away into the
world of Lisa, Lasse and Bosse. A special mention goes to Dominik Klink, whose
clear and captivating presentation impressed the jury and earned him first
place in his age group.
For the
older learners in grades 5 and 6, "Ronja the Robber's Daughter" was
the chosen book. The young readers skillfully brought Ronja's thrilling
adventures to life. Jonathan Trede was selected as the winner in his age group.
The jury,
composed of Ms Juliette Irmer, Ms Petra Jenner, Ms Julia Traeger and Ms Monika
Kollmitz, faced a challenging task in determining the best readers. All
participants delivered exceptional performances, making the competition an
unforgettable experience.
We would
like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dominik and Jonathan on their
achievements and express our gratitude to all participants for their remarkable
contributions.
We are
incredibly proud of you!
