Rooisand Connects: Grade 8 Class Excursion

This year, the DHPS Grade 8 classes of DHPS once again set off for a week-long adventure to Rooisand.

In October, classes 8a and 8d first spent an unforgettable week at this camping experience, followed by classes 8b, c, and e. The week offered all participants memorable experiences in nature.

In addition to a treasure hunt through the beautiful landscape, the learners were able to admire the breathtaking Namibian night sky at the observatory.

A highlight was certainly the overnight stay in the open air on the dune. Here, the groups first witnessed a spectacular sunset, and later, songs rang out around the campfire through the night.

Overall, the trip provided new and exciting experiences for all travelers and has sustainably strengthened the class community as well as the cohesion of the entire grade level.
