From 12 to 14 September 2020, the DHPS
orchestra spent a few days at Krumhuk Farm to prepare for the traditional
school concert. Along with focused music rehearsals in small groups and as a
full orchestra, they enjoyed playing games, sharing laughs, and hiking up
Katzenberg Mountain for a sundowner.
It was wonderful to see how these moments
created a relaxed atmosphere where everyone felt at ease, and the bond within
the orchestra grew stronger. Over the two days, the young musicians not only
made significant musical progress but also benefited from the social aspects of
making music together, improving their communication and interaction skills.
A highlight of the camp was the final
internal concert, where we presented our results. As the director of the DHPS
orchestra and on behalf of the parents and young musicians, I would like to
extend my thanks to the ASV, for their financial support and for making this
orchestra camp possible!
