In March 2021 the City of Windhoek (CoW) ran an awareness campaign
to commemorate World Water Day 2021 with the theme “The value of water to the
Windhoek Community”.
Learners from primary and secondary schools were invited to
partake in an essay writing competition. DHPS´s Grade 8d decided to join in on
the competition and handed in their essays.
Within the senior category, where the focus was on the economic
influence of water, the environment, water pollution and reclamation, DHPS
learner Hanna Carstens was one of the lucky winners and was invited to attend
the prize-giving ceremony at the CoW on 16 April.
Congratulations Hanna, we are very proud of you!
