A Morning Filled with Exchange, Inspiration, and CommitmentOn 28 March 2026, the annual Interact Club Conference took place at DHPS Windhoek – and it was a great success!
The event offered our learners a diverse and enriching exchange on community service, personal development, and responsible project work.
We were especially delighted to welcome Interact Clubs from Windhoek and beyond. In addition to our own Interact Club, represented by ten dedicated learners, we hosted guests from Windhoek International School, Namib High School Swakopmund, Jan Jonker Afrikaner High School, and A. Shipena Secondary School.
This cross-school exchange added an inspiring variety of perspectives to the conference.
Inspiring Inputs & Valuable Experiences
The morning programme was varied and engaging: Guest speakers opened the conference by sharing their personal experiences as Interact and Rotaract members – a motivating start for all participants.
A particular highlight was the presentation by Mr Heinrich Stasiuk, a Namibian entrepreneur, who spoke about the importance of community service for personal growth (“How community service can create a better version of yourself”). After his talk, learners had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with him directly.
Following this, the Interact Clubs from the participating schools presented their ongoing projects and achievements. The variety of ideas and initiatives was impressive and offered many new impulses.
Working, Creating, and Thinking Ahead Together
During the interactive workshop sessions, learners became creative themselves: In groups, they developed ideas on how meaningful community projects can be identified and implemented. They also worked on fundraising concepts and collected concrete project ideas for their respective schools.
A Morning That Brings People Together
The 2026 Interact Club Conference was not only highly productive but also truly inspiring. It significantly strengthened the exchange between the participating schools and generated numerous new impulses, demonstrating the great potential of young people’s engagement – and how valuable such encounters are for their personal development.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participating schools, our guest speakers, and of course our dedicated learners, who made this conference such a special and memorable experience.
