On Friday, 4 August 2017, the dining hall of the DHPS boarding school not only sparkled from paparazzi flashlight, but also from the glittering decoration and glamorous visitors, who lived up to the "Hollywood"-motto of the event: In this year's candle light dinner, the visitors were the stars.

In addition to the red-carpet reception, musical interludes, a three course menu and a sumptuous atmosphere, the focus was on designing an even more beautiful home-away-from-home for our boarding schoolers. This was also emphasised by DHPS principal and patron of the evening, Ms Eichholz in her welcoming speech, as well as by organisers and facilitators of the evening Ms Ulrike Behring, boarding school supervisor and Mr Lars Pickhardt, head of the Child- and Youth Centre.

Generous donations and incredible proceeds of the auction from committed visitors - by, amongst others, guests of honor such as the German ambassador Mr Schlaga and the regional director of the Ministry of Education, Mr Vries -, ensured that the boarding school stood in the lime light of the event.
