Our dedicated DHPS teachers took part in an insightful 1.5-day professional development workshop before Easter, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.
The workshops covered:
- when and how AI can be effectively used,
- the importance of not simply accepting the first AI-generated response,
- the art of prompting AI to generate better and more thoughtful answers.
Educators also learned how to run simulations, reimagine homework in an AI-assisted world, and teach with an understanding of the brain's three-part structure.
One key takeaway? AI is here to stay – and instead of resisting it, we must engage with it and adapt to its transformative role in education.
It was a wonderful experience and a reminder that lifelong learning isn't just for our learners.
