On the 25th September 2021, DHPS learners James Dishena, Joshua Mulokoshi, Frans Kueyo and Luke Van Turah participated in the high school Namibian chess federation tournament and placed 2nd.

The tournament was online and had an entrance fee of N$ 200 per team. Teams were made of a maximum of 4 players. Players were randomly paired with each other and played 10-minute matches with 5 second bonus time after every move. The tournament lasted 4h 30M with 11 teams and 7 participating schools. The tournament also had 3 different categories which were: junior primary, senior primary and high school.
