Fine Wine, a Cheerful Atmosphere and Perfect Weather for the DHPS Boarding School

While rain might cancel events elsewhere, in Namibia, it only adds to the exuberance of the atmosphere. This was evident at the DHPS Wine Fest, which drew around 200 wine lovers to the DHPS school grounds on 1 March 2024.

Guests had the opportunity to taste a total of 12 types of wine and sparkling wine. The selection included Namibian wines, such as those from Boshoff Family Wines in Otavi, as well as fine wines from Europe and South Africa, available at the stands of African Marketing, Komnik & Franck, and Manrico Select. From Spanish sparkling wine to white Pinotage and elegant Pinot Grigio, wine connoisseurs were treated to a variety of options.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by an exciting wine auction, lively music, and a variety of delicacies to round off the culinary experience.

"It's wonderful to see so many guests having such a great time. It was a fantastic evening!" said DHPS Principal, Jörg Przybilla, who was attending his first event with the school community.

Organised by the DHPS boarding school, the proceeds from the evening and the proceeds from the auction will be used to buy recreational materials for the "DHPS boarders".
