AKAD University Visits DHPS Windhoek: Prospects for Future Collaboration

On 8 September 2026, Deutsche Höhere
Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) welcomed Prof. Dr habil. Markus Grottke, the
Rector’s Representative for Cross-Departmental Special Matters at
AKAD-University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart.
During an open and constructive discussion between
AKAD and Jörg Przybilla (DHPS Principal), Alexander Ritzer (Coordinator of DHPS
Academic and Career Guidance) and Deborah Haindongo (DHPS Head of
Administration), numerous opportunities for future collaboration were explored.
The exchange focused on new opportunities for DHPS
graduates in a world increasingly shaped by digitalisation and artificial
intelligence. The talks covered topics such as potential collaborations in the
area of career and study guidance, the further development of the DHPS’s
existing guest learner programme, as well as the advantages of AKAD degree
programmes, which are fully digitalised and can be completed asynchronously,
making them compatible with learners remaining predominantly in Namibia.
Both sides emphasised the importance of
international educational networks in preparing young people as effectively as
possible for the demands of a changing society and working world.
The exchange was characterised by openness,
constructive dialogue and strong mutual interest in exploring future
opportunities.
Prof. Dr Grottke’s visit once again underlines
DHPS’s commitment to opening up international educational and future prospects
for its learners and to fostering strategic partnerships with prominent
educational institutions.
