... Born in 1964, Matric Class of 1982, Abitur in 1983

40 years ago, we had our forty days party and thought about how we could celebrate our matric farewell. Our own school band played, we decorated the auditorium ourselves and everyone brought a cold platter from home. We realised it was time to get serious about the enormous workload for the upcoming matric examinations, we were ready to set off into an exciting life, at the same time we felt how well we had got to know each other and finally got used to each other in our twelve years at school.
40 years later - on Friday, 30 September and Saturday, 1 October 2022, we celebrated our 40 years anniversary.
Instead of music, there were talks, on the first day, Friday, our meeting venues were the school and boarding school, then on Saturday we gathered at Heja Game Lodge.
We prepared the learner cafe and the surrounding outside area ourselves, ordered delicious cold platters from the school canteen, and the school & Komnik and Frank supported the supply of drinks.
Principal Kristin Eichholz, head of boarding school Ms Behring and the chairperson of the alumni association, Ms Laggner gave us a warm welcome, while Ms Risser captured the special moments photographically. During a tour of the boarding school and the school, we realised how different and "emotional" it feels "40 years later".
Astonished and amused, we took note of the changes in our appearance and experienced the close connection that was established in the course of our 12 years at school and were pleased that after 40 years we could meet each other interested, changed and appreciative.
