2 DHPS learners at NASA Space School

Annica Theissen and Raica Coelho, Grade 11 learners of the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS), were selected to participate in the NASA Space School, which took place in Houston, Texas, from 17 to 31 July 2023.
Together with 40 participants from all over the world, they gained insights into areas of NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) that are not open to the public, took part in technical discussions with astronauts, visited the Houston Space Centre and several museums and worked together with their international teammates on a fictitious Mars mission, which was presented at the end of the two-week workshop.
The fact that they were selected as two of 40 participants from all over the world naturally made the two Namibians very proud. Apart from that, they were both awarded the Flag Award for special individual and team achievements during the project.
DHPS shares the pride and joy of its learners in having had such a great and educational experience in the United States.
