Visit of the French Ambassador at DHPS

On Thursday 22nd February, the French flag was flying in front of DHPS:

The French Ambassador, Claire Bodonyi, accompanied by Jérôme Kohl and Dolis Betuma (Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre, FNCC), came to meet the Grade 10-12 French students of DHPS. They were welcomed by DHPS vice principal Mr Osthus, DHPS French teachers Ms Gramann and Ms Detavernier as well as Danielle Pade and Elizabeth Mihaylova, SRC members but also French students of Grade 11.

After introducing herself and presenting her role as an Ambassador, the French Ambassador thanked the learners for choosing French as a foreign language and exposed all the opportunities this language has to offer. Jérôme Kohl, the FNCC’s director, presented the actions of FNCC and initiated a discussion with the students about what they know and what they expect about it. Dolis Betuma, language coordinator and in charge of Multimedia library, presented the project “Campus France” more specifically, an organisation that supports foreign students who want to study in France.

It was a very nice opportunity for the students to exchange with the French official representatives in Namibia.
Thank you to the French Embassy in Namibia!
