Soon, our DHPS gymnasium will shine in a new look and become one of the most modern sports facilities in Namibia. The Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany supports the extension of the building with a financial contribution to the tune of 1.2 Million Euro (ca. 17 Million NAD). The important contract was signed by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Namibia, Christian Schlaga, as well as representatives of the ”Deutscher Schulverein Windhoek (1949)” Niels Serrer and Conville Britz on 6 March 2017. The new gymnasium is scheduled for inauguration in 2018, enabling us to be an excellent host for the next Sports Olympiad of the German schools in Southern Africa.
Ambassador Schlaga wished the DHPS success in the realization of the construction. With this commitment, the Federal Republic of Germany confirms its great interest in the positive development of Namibia´s only German School Abroad.
