Kurt Böhme Speech Competition 2018

This year, the Kurt Böhme Speech Competition was held at Delta School Windhoek.
Once again, the participants - 2 in the junior and 5 in the senior category - from DHPS, DOSW and Private School Swakopmund delivered interesting speeches.
In the junior category, DHPS learner Robin Beggs came second with her speech on “Good Morning, Mr Kalashnikov: Teachers are taking up arms!", while Tiana Esslinger took third place with “Age restrictions: do they make sense?”

Anna-Marie Ritter came second in the senior category with her speech on the topic of “From addiction to social media to depression and amok-run. What is wrong with our youth?” and held an inspiring impromptu speech on the topic of “Is Dancing an Endurance Sport?” She emphasised her own passion for dancing so much that she lost track of time .

Patick Beggs came third in the senior category and contemplated on the topic of “Everything fake? Can we trust the media?” His impromptu speech reflected his passion for fishing and he was very persuasive in his arguments as to why this is an important sport.

Congratulations to all participants - we are proud of such eloquent learners!
