DHPS Big Walk 2017

Great hiking and a relaxed get-together at mild temperatures
We all have heard about frozen orange slices and cows’ backs white with ice during DHPS Big Walks in the past. On 22 July 2017, visitors to "Farm Aris” were all the more surprised and delighted, when the temperature even rose beyond the 0° C mark.

Before the start, a delicious breakfast with coffee and hot chocolate was offered to warm up and gain strength for the 14 km hike ahead. Big and small hikers enjoyed walking together over hedge and ditch and past lovingly prepared refreshments on the roadside.
This year again, the strong cooperation of the school community and great commitment and enjoyment of parents, learners, teachers, family, friends and siblings alike, stood out everywhere: en route, at various stalls, the control points or during the final highlight at the festive grounds with home-made cakes, delicious steak rolls, ice-cream and hot and cold beverages.

A great thank you to all the helpers, parents, sponsors and partners, as well as our learners, enduring hikers and visitors.

We look forward to the Big Walk 2018 already ... hopefully again in mild temperatures.
