Welcome to "Tintenklecks"
A typical day in the day care hostel “Tintenklecks”- 11h00 – the day care hostel will open its doors
- 11h30 – the children of the first two grades will be fetched from school, relaxing time
- 12h30 – joint lunch time in the dining hall, dessert is always fresh fruit
- 13h30 – leisure time: time to read, relax, play – in summer time to enjoy the swimming pool
- 14h00 – homework time, enough time to finish all homework and concentrate on reading. The supervisors will help to exercise for spelling, class and vocabulary tests. One educationalist will supervise 10 children during homework hour. Another educationalist concentrates on the individual exercising of reading.
- 16h00 – snack time: fresh fruit
- On Wednesday and Friday there is a special offer for leisure time. All the games in the cupboard can be explored and different sport equipment are available daily.
- 17h30 – time to tidy up and get fetched
- 18h00 – the day care hostel closes for the day.
Our professional and multicultural team has two German speaking employees on full-time basis, an English speaking employee on part-time basis and two students doing their practical training. The multicultural group of day borders are students from Grade 1 to Grade 8 of the DHPS and other schools in Windhoek whose parents work full day. The medium of instruction in the day care hostel is German and English.
