Promoting reading in grade 1-6 at DHPSFrom 19.10.-24.10.2009 a book week took place for the primary section of DHPS. This first time initiative was a great success and will surely become a regular event in the school calendar! For one week pupils and teachers engaged in their favorite story books. |

Windhoek Coca Cola Interschool Maths Olympiad 2009The 11th Coca Cola Maths Olympiad took place at Windhoek High School/WHS on 1.October 2009. Namibian high school students of Grade 8-11 were invited to participate
The competitors worked either single or in pairs of two. According to the different Grade levels the pupils had to solve 30 tricky maths problems. The questions were put together by the University of Cape Town. The degree of difficulty is equivalent to the Australian Maths Competition and theOld Mutual Maths Olympiad. DHPS was represented by a strong team:
